Every year, Hi-Tech Wild-Trek visits Cobham Hall, Kent. This independent girls school has a remarkable setting: an Elizabethan Mansion located in extensive parkland.

During the school holidays at Easter and in August, primary schools from Southern Sweden spend a week there, and part of their programme involves a 3 day exploration of the local environment involving language, art and science.

In August 2009 “The Tree of Life” project was an attempt to recreate the BBC/OU Darwin Year poster that shows the relationships between all living things. Our challenge was to make as complete a tree as possible using only the wildlife to be found in the grounds of Cobham Hall. The variety of life that was discovered gave a pretty good “tree”.
